BIOGRAPHY
Katie Belec, a visual artist from the rural town of Sydenham, Ontario, has embarked on an artistic journey that combines a deep love for the natural world with an exploration of the human experience. Growing up, Katie was encouraged by her parents to partake in activities such as hiking and camping, instilling in her a respect for the natural world that would later become a driving force behind her artistry.
From a young age Katie displayed an innate passion for art, initially expressing herself through drawing. She later delved into the world of painting, wholeheartedly embracing acrylic and oil paints. Katie’s current work centres around landscapes and explores themes such as relationships and spirituality.
Career highlights include showcasing her art at St. Lawrence College's Foyer Gallery and Student Commons Gallery. In addition to these exhibitions, Katie has had the privilege of creating a custom commission for private collections.
